Hi there, it's about time to introduce my company and myself to you!
Anton & Maxine is a Columbia, SC based independent clothing label for handmade designer clothing. The studio is located in the heart of Columbia's 5 Points at the Tapps Outpost Arts Space.
The studio is the place were every Anton & Maxine garments are designed, made and sold. Each garment is an original, carefully handmade, suitable for any season and complements previous collections.
The mission is to create long-lasting, comfortable, chic and modern clothing with and edgy twist. For women who want to feel good and beautiful in their clothing.
...and a little bit about myself.
I am Diko Pekdemir-Lewis. I am the owner and Fashion Designer of Anton & Maxine. I was born and raised in Germany and since 2016 I call Columbia, SC my new home. I studied Bespoke Tailoring and have a BFA in Fashion Design. After working couple years for independent labels in Germany, I decided to do my own thing. I worked as a Freelancer, taught basic design and sewing skills at a Craft Center, before I launched in 2009 my first accessories label DPL, which became in 2014 Anton & Maxine. Since then I am a one woman small business and I design and create new designs almost daily, because Fashion is my Profession!
